Herded Pears was started for a few people to do something beyond the mundane day to day activities of working for someone else. We hope in the future it will allow more than just a few people to pursue a lifestyle doing what they love and making money at it.

About Our Name
Ok, here’s the story. One day I get an email from a co-worker. We are talking about some of the difficulties we have communicating with others. I’m pretty sure the guy used spell check, but these particular misspelled words are in the dictionary. I received “herd by our pears” instead of “heard by our peers”. It’s funny how a typo can change things.
I began to see myself as one of those herded pears, following the same mundane routine day in and out. No time like the present to try some new things and break out of that routine.
This website is for a group of us who have the potential to do other things outside our day-to-day. I hope to see the stories unfold as we all begin our quest to create projects on the web.
